NEVER QUIT

NEVER QUIT
If you are not practicing, just remember: someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you two meet,
given roughly equal ability, she will win. -Ed Macauley

"Too often we are scared. Scared of what we might not be able to do. Scared of what people might think if we tried. We let our fears get in the way of our hopes. We say no when we want to say yes. We sit quietly when we want to scream. And we shout with the others when we should keep our mouths shut. Why? After all, we do only go around once. There's really no time to be afraid. So stop. Try something you've never tried. Risk it...you have nothing to lose and everything, everything, everything to gain." –Nike

AYyyyyyy yo ya biddies

I am so pumped the blog has been re-ignited (great word choice... i know).

So unlike you people with snow, Colorado is bea-utiful right now! blue skies, wore a t shirt yesterday. Now although I do enjoy being warm and i am thankful that our grocery stores have endless supplies of milk, a little tid bit of snow would be dandy.

IDK about Stookes but when i worked out on Friday i could not breath, i got like 4 side cramps in a span of 28 minutes (fat burner MOMMMM... so lonely without you !! )
soooo anyways, it should be an interesting winter filled with side cramps and loud breathing, i feel like virg when i can hear myself panting in my sleep. muahhhh hahahhaaha

I am on crack right now, Gibs misses this side of me i know it.
About to go get some starbucks and then work out to some glee music. Shit's crazy.

A wise bird once shared this quote with me,

"Somewhere, someone is practicing. And when you meet her on the field, face to face, one on one, she'll beat you. Unless that someone who is practicing is you. So work the left, run the stairs, crank the corners. Give it everything you've got, everyday. And when you get tired and feel like quitting, ask yourself, is the other girl tired? Is she quitting? Leave nothing on the field and go hard or go home."

This quote is my jam on winter break. Yes, we have a team full of 24 girls who ALL have committed everything they have to this team thus far. I am with Traci in the fact that I do not doubt any of you will not come back from break in tip top shape, but we all have those moments where skipping a workout to hang out with our friends who we rarely see, seems like a much better option than running sprints.

Everyone realize that there are countless other teams who are preparing for pre-season, each and every team has a goal to finish in the #1 spot. This break is for you to keep those teams in the back of your mind as you do your own workout because it's not just about simply completing each day, it's about pushing it and giving it everything you have each and every day.

If you want to win a National Championship, you must go beyond expectations. You must bring each workout to the next level. Do not do the work out to simply get by, do it to make yourself better. So when you're running your sprints, whether you're alone or with a friend, think of anyone on any other team... how hard do you think they're training? If they were running with you right now, would they be in front of you, or behind you?

GOOD LUCK
