NEVER QUIT

NEVER QUIT
If you are not practicing, just remember: someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you two meet,
given roughly equal ability, she will win. -Ed Macauley

"Too often we are scared. Scared of what we might not be able to do. Scared of what people might think if we tried. We let our fears get in the way of our hopes. We say no when we want to say yes. We sit quietly when we want to scream. And we shout with the others when we should keep our mouths shut. Why? After all, we do only go around once. There's really no time to be afraid. So stop. Try something you've never tried. Risk it...you have nothing to lose and everything, everything, everything to gain." –Nike

first day home

Hi Friends!!

So, I was driving home from Boston yesterday with Ang and Kev and literally as we passed the Welcome to Maryland sign it began to flurry...which turned into a blizzard...yes JT, a real blizzard! I got home around 1am and it has been snowing nonstop for almost 24 hours now. We have over 2 ft and counting here!

Incase anyway hasn't tried yet, our new Christmas windbreaker jackets from Liz ARE in fact waterproof--I just played in the snow and was still dry when I came inside! Tucker had a great time playing in the snow too. I kinda thought he was going to drown though.

I've been such a great elf. (don't worry Bo, pictures to come later) And the window in my bedroom is broken so it actually feels like the North Pole in there too. I started my Christmas cookie baking -- tried a new batch of the braided candycane sugar-ish cookies and they are quite delicious. Tucker enjoyed them -- he jumped on the counter and stole the rest of my dough :(

Obviously with the blizzard warning, all of Maryland freaked out. My parents went to the grocery store and couldn't even buy milk because they were sold out from people stocking up before the storm HAHA. There's been about 1 snowplow slowly making his way through my town. I love snow in Maryland, we're so unprepared!

Welp, I'm enjoying my day off. Hope the rest of you made/make it home safely.
Love,
JMAR
p.s. icy sidewalks/roads can make for a good slideboard ;)
